Kevin O'Neill papers
These papers document the scholarly interests of Boston College faculty member and co-founder of the Irish Studies Program, Kevin O'Neill, through his correspondence; collected Northern Ireland political posters and press releases from government agencies; and original interview recordings of Northern Irish politicians. O'Neill's papers also document the growth of the Boston College Irish Studies program during his time as director through correspondence and program ephemera.
Collection is open for research. The video recordings on Umatic videocassette are not available for playback due to format impermanence and can not be reformatted by Burns Library at this time. Tip O'Neill congressional papers
Composed of correspondence, publications, photographs, audio tapes, videocassettes, artifacts, newspaper clippings, and scrapbooks of Speaker Tip O'Neill. Most of the material relates to O'Neill's career in Congress, and documents his views on such issues as the Vietnam War, Watergate, and relations with Ireland. Also includes papers of O'Neill's staff, files of Democratic Committees, and some letters of late twentieth-century presidents.
Collection is open for research. Selected items are closed due to fragility; a microfilm access copy is available. Audiovisual recordings in this collection have been migrated from source media; digital use copies can only be accessed onsite in the Burns Library Reading Room.

Mary Boyle O'Reilly papers
The Mary Boyle O’Reilly papers document her work as a journalist and political activist, particularly during World War I. They include O’Reilly’s correspondence from Europe during the war, her typescripts, a small series of individually typed or handwritten poems, many with inscriptions from O'Reilly's friends, and family photographs.
Collection contains some original materials too fragile to handle. Access copies have been provided for most, but the correspondence series is closed pending conservation. Box 1 contains open materials. Box 2 contains fragile materials and is closed.

Collection contains manuscripts of poems by O'Sullivan and multiple versions of a book of poems by William Starkey (his father), which O'Sullivan edited.

Bound manuscript of approximately 250 pages, with 6 engraved plates by Domenico Pauner and François de Poilly, including portraits of Saint Ignatius, Saint Francis Xavier, and Francisco Suárez. The text is a synthesis of the philosophy and logic of Francisco Suárez, divided in two sections of 41 and 100 leaves with handwritten foliation.

Boston College collection of photographic postcards
Collected photographic postcards with blank versos, from Europe and Africa, as well as a few from the United States. The bulk are images of Austria, France, Italy, Spain, and Turkey; while smaller sets document Algeria and Morocco. Photographs are almost entirely black-and-white, with a few hand-colored.

The collection consists of a letter from Grace Gifford Plunkett to her fiancé Joseph M. Plunkett while he recovered from surgery at a nursing home in Dublin, Ireland, two nights before the Easter Rising. Also included is a newspaper clipping from 1966 discussing the letter.

The collection consists of correspondence from James and Elizabeth Prendergast in Milltown, County Kerry, Ireland to their children in Boston, Massachusetts. It also includes a few letters from other members of the family in Ireland to their relatives in Boston. Much of the correspondence concerns life in Ireland.

Ed Price's collection of writings by detective fiction author Rex Stout contains clippings of articles, novellas, and short stories, often published serially. The collection also includes promotional materials from movies and television shows based on Stout’s novels, and a menu and shirt from the Wolfe Pack, a Nero Wolfe literary society.
